About Wai-Lā Swimwear
Wai-Lā comes from the Hawaiian word wai [water] and lā [sun]. The nautilus shell, is part of our brand identity, represents the beach as well as a constant upward spiral for progress, development and making things better.
Wai-Lā founders [two women, two friends] understand well the importance of balance - one of them a creative soul with background in visual arts and fashion design; the other - a marketing and customer experience guru. This balance is reflected in our brand and our products. Both our performance swimming suits and beach wear ranges are made of recycled and environmentally responsible fabrics. Our core idea is to find the right balance between elegance and performance; aesthetics and utility.
Ocean conservation and coral reefs protection are core pillars in our brand and everything we do. Both Wai-Lā founders are avid swimmers; one of them also a scuba diver. We believe that water is life and the ocean is our plane’s biggest treasure. The idea about the creation of the Wai-Lā Swimwear brand was born out of an idea for a charitable project that supports coral reef gardening and ocean species conservation and protection. Even now at the early stages of the brand development we already have a plan how to actively support number of ocean protection NGO’s and even how to establish one ourselves.
Last but not least, we are true believers in the human connection. Our brand policy states that only human intelligence will be involved in all processes and creations.
